We missed everybody last week as we paused our meetings so we could prepare for a series of community projects just in time for the holiday season. We resumed this week with a powerful meeting hosted by Faith Recovery Executive Director Travis Hall. Travis is also our club’s President-Elect. To start the meeting, we watched a video titled, Courage. Travis provided an overview of Faith Recovery and touched on their transition from their current location into their new location, which will be in Williamsburg, Virginia.
We enjoyed a short performance and Christmas carol from Matt S. and Jason T., followed by a personal story from Jason. Jason’s story will not be forgotten by anyone in attendance any time soon. Jason experienced a life of incarceration and addiction until the age of 44. Today he has committed to a life of sobriety, faith, and hope. All made possible by the efforts and support of Faith Recovery.
Thank you, Jason and Matt, for joining us at our weekly meeting. We wish you the very best and a successful future.
